Rhea, You were my best friend for my entire childhood, the most amazing person who I had the absolute privilege of spending my entire childhood with. We used to play outside in the ‘pancake’ by your house until dark most nights and beg our mums for another sleepover. I remember one week we spent a whole week back and forth from each others houses, sleeping over every night, making videos and throwing ourselves off your bunk beds. I remember I used to tell you jokes that my dad had told me and we would muffle our laughs under the covers so we didn’t wake Joel up. And that time you got a Segway and we used to see how fast we could go on it down the road, the time you were sitting on it and lost control and threw yourself into the wall in the front room and we laughed so hard that we wet ourselves. Memories like these I will hold onto and treasure for the rest of my life, I just wish you had more time in yours to hold onto them to. Your amazing laugh and kindness will never be forgotten, it will make every candle I burn and every sunset I see just that little bit brighter, I just wish you were here to see that with me. I will love you forever Rhea, you left us far too soon but you will never be forgotten because you have shaped me into the person I am today and for that I will be eternally grateful. I love and miss you so much, our little bird 🕊️🫶🏻

Rhea, I have been sending you messages knowing that you will never reply. You genuinely lit up every single room that you entered and made the world a better place. You were one of those friends that i could always count on, always rely on. Thank you for being the first person to make an effort with me at sixth form, you made me feel like i wasn't alone. You were so incredibly intelligent, witty and caring. You always put others before yourself and i wish we could repay that kindness. I am gutted for you, for future you and for past you. Hey rhea You were a very special person, I think to everyone. I met you when you joined our sixthform and after a few days I knew we’d become friends. We were so similar in so many ways but we were different in the fact that you knew exactly who you were and what you wanted and I admired that. You always pushed me to do better and you inspired me as well. I’ve never met anyone more hardworking and intelligent. On top of that you were insanely kind and fun and gorgeous. You really understood parts of me that others didn’t and I felt so comfortable with you. We would ask each other if we were going to go out that night and if one of us said yes the other would to. You were my I’ll do it if you do it person and I miss that and miss you. When we went on holiday together we became sisters, we would bicker and then laugh straight after. I remember when we all went swimming in the sea in the middle of the night and we both wanted the first shower, you let me have it. By the time we got back to the hotel we were laughing about it. I miss hearing you giggle, it was the cutest thing ever. I don’t think I’ll ever live through another day without thinking about you and missing you. I hope you knew how much I valued you and how important you were to me. Sending so much love to your family and all your friends always ❤️

Dear Rhea, I loved every conversation we had about your ambitions and your goals. I loved how long it took you to decide on how to get there. I loved that it was Durham with no compromises as you knew you deserved the best. I loved how you supported your friends through our Sixth Form adventures and how you would sound me out if they were struggling so I could ask the right question that would help them to talk. I loved that you had the highest standards for yourself and others...and stuck to them. You are the epitome of what our first assembly together was about...Run like you are on fire in the direction of your wildest dreams - and you did with style and grace. To rhea The first time I met you it was on our corridor, I remember you telling everyone to come over because you had this big room. Little did I know I’d end up spending more time in that room than I probably did in my own. We bonded pretty quickly and I soon realised that I had met somebody special. We had the same opinions on so many things. We would talk about everything and nothing at the same time. You had this incredible kindness and you were such a supportive friend. And you would come out with the funniest things sometimes. There was a special brightness about you. However, what shone through the most, was how passionate you were for your future. We spoke about so much of what you wanted to do. You were to live in london, You were to work in fashion, You were to travel the world, You were to meet the love of your life. But Rhea you have taught me that life isn’t about what you will do or what you’re planning on doing, but what you do with the time you have. You brought so much joy to everyone you spent time with here at Durham. I wish you could see how loved you are and how much you are missed. We can never forget you. I’ll Love you always and forever.

Joann, Dominic, and Joel, so sorry you have to go through this devastating event. We pray for,you to have strength to get through this, and that you will be comforted by your memories of beautiful Rhea! We’re also praying for Fiona. Just take comfort that she spent a wonderful day with you.
